STD Prevention and Treatment Program

Both the Junction City-Geary County Health Department and the Junction City Youth Clinic offer confidential STD/HIV screening and counseling services. Screenings cover:

  • Gonorrhea
  • Chlamydia
  • Syphilis
  • HIV
  • HPV (call for appointment)
  • Herpes (call for appointment)
  • Treatments for some sexually transmitted infections will be done onsite as required by Center for Disease Control Protocol.

HIV/Aids Care

HIV Kansas Department of Health and Environment Linkage to Care and Ryan White referrals are provided as needed.

Health Department and Youth Clinic Walk-in Hours

Walk in for screenings and counseling are Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.

How much does it cost to visit?

Fees vary depending on state lab requirements and charges to the Health Department/JCYC

Are there appointments or walk-in times?

You do not need to make an appointment for STD testing and results. Walk-in hours are listed above.

What if I am under 18 years old?

In Kansas, teens can consent to HIV and STD screening and treatment without a parent’s permission.

What kinds of HIV screening do you offer?

HIV screening is done at both the Health Department and the Youth Clinic using the conventional method of a confidential blood draw. However, community outreach is offered to local churches, community based organizations and others using HIV rapid testing.
